General Note:
View of Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church (St. Elizabeth's Church, architect Father Adrian, O.S.F. 1898), 1060 St. Francis Way, on the Auraria Higher Education Center campus, Denver, Colorado. The building is constructed of rusticated rhyolite and built in the Gothic revival style with Romanesque influences. The building has a gable roof, stone corbeled molding, a rose window set in coursing, gothic arched windows, an arched entry supported by Corinthian columns, small, flat buttresses, turrets, and a steeple and bell tower a clock. The building has two false corbeled gables and the bell tower has corbeled designs. A statue of Saint Elizabeth of Hungary is in a niche over the main doors. Crosses are on the ridge of the gabled roof and the top of the steeple.
