- View of the Mercury Cafeâ• ü, a former warehouse located at 2199 California Street in the Five Points neighborhood of Denver, Colorado. Shows the rear (southwest) and side (southeast) elevations of a two story brick building. There is a colorful mural of a garden and a sign for the cafe on the side. The front elevation is covered in foliage and has awning windows. Marilyn Megenity opened the Mercury Cafeâ• ü in this building, the site of a former warehouse, in 1990. The cafe has been in twelve previous locations since founded by Megenity in 1975. In addition to serving food, the cafe hosts concerts, poetry readings, dance classes, and community events.
