General Note:
View of the Pearce-McAllister Cottage (1899; Frederick J. Sterner, architect) at 1880 Gaylord Street in the City Park West neighborhood of Denver, Colorado. Shows the facade (west elevation) and south elevation of a two-and-one-half-story Dutch Colonial Revival-style house with a shingle-covered side-gambrel roof. There are three evenly-placed shed roof dormers, opening from the second-story level. Each has a pair of wood shutters. A one-story porch runs the full width of the facade. Four pairs of wood columns support the cornice of the porch. On the south elevation, there are windows with segmental arches and wood shutters on the second floor and there is a single oval window below the gable. A sign in front of the house reads: "The Pearce-McAllister Cottage, Built 1899, A Property of the Colorado Historical Society."
