General Note:
View of an entrance to the Ghost Building (1889; William Lang, architect) at 512 Fifteenth (15th) Street in the Central Business District of Denver, Colorado. Shows a double-door entryway to the Romanesque Revival-style granite building prior to the building's dismantling in 1979. Half-round pilasters support a basket-handle arch with radiating voussoirs. Underneath are metal doors topped with transoms. Signs above the entrance read: "Ghost Building." A sign to the left of the door reads "1512, Hotel Graystone." William Lang designed the building for A. M. Ghost, a Denver real estate developer.
