General Note:
View of the Ernest LeNeve Foster House (1893; William Lang, architect) at 2105 Lafayette Street in the City Park West neighborhood of Denver, Colorado. Shows the facade of a three-story Queen Anne-style single family residence with a cross-gabled composition roof. The walls are brick covered with stucco. A front-facing gable with fishscale, wood shingles, bargeboard, and a single multi-paned window with shutters, dominates the front elevation. There is a single-story front-gabled entry porch supported by pairs of fluted square columns. The columns are crowned with intricately carved urns and curls, and there is a large carved urn on the decorated gable pediment. Other notable features include rough-faced stone lintels and a dormer window. The house is on the National Register of Historic Places (1980).
