View of statue of Saint Shinran and gardens at the Tri-State/Denver Buddhist Temple at 1947 Lawrence Street in the Union Station neighborhood of Denver, Colorado. The statue of St. Shinran, shows a man in a round straw hat ( jinbei), short robes and a cape. He holds a bamboo staff. He stands on a square, granite column with an inscription in Japanese characters and "St. Shinran" inscribed on the base. The Tri-State/Denver Buddhist Temple was founded by Japanese immigrants in 1916 and originally named the Denver Buddhist Church.
