General Note:
View of 1640 Logan Street in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Denver, Colorado. This Beaux Arts-style, single family residence was constructed in 1886. It has a rough-faced stone foundation with inserted glass block windows and a convex mansard roof with two pedimented dormers. The main entry to the house is covered by a balcony. The dominant feature of the building is a large round tower. Windows on the ground floor and second floor of the house have rough-faced stone lintels and are topped with elaborately carved stone plaques with urns, swags, floral decorations, and shields. The plaques above the ground floor windows are arched. Those above the second floor windows are rectangular.
