The house was built for real estate developer Wilbur S. Raymond. The three story Richardsonian Romanesque house is constructed of rusticated pink and gray rhyolite with an Indiana limestone trim. Rusticated stone balustrades crown the pentagonal tower. A Palladian window is on the 3rd floor of the western elevation of the house. A green balcony is mounted on the facade of the structure.
