A large, painted wooden cross leans against the unplastered wall of a morada (Los Hermanos Penitentes) in San Francisco (Costilla County), Colorado. Lettering on the cross reads: "F.P.D.N.P.J." Shows a recessed wooden door and window.

From inventory: "The San Francisco Morada was constructed between 1880 and 1906. The adobe bricks are plastered over with a smooth surface of adobe every couple of years. This photo shows the bare adobe bricks with a Penitente cross leaning against the wall during the Easter Holy week in 2005. The building was listed on the Colorado's State Historical Register on February 11, 2000.
