Group portrait of Erinea Trujillo Vigil and her grandchildren in San Luis (Costilla County), Colorado. They are identified as Front row L to R: Jususita Romero, Tonita Romero, Adelia Vigil; Back row L to R: Luis Romero, Magdalena Vigil, Erinea Trujillo Vigil, Isabela Romero, Francisco Vigil, and Antonio Romero. They pose in front of an adobe wall and snow covers the ground. Mrs. Vigil, in a long dark dress, is seated and holds Tonita Romero in a plaid dress on her lap, the boys wear short pants with long stockings, and jackets. Antonio Romero wears a double breasted jacket with wide lapels and a scarf, Francisco Vigil a double breasted jacket. The girls wear dresses and Magdalena Vigil wears hair ribbons. Isabela Romero wears a dress with cut velvet panels.

From inventory: "Erinea Trujillo Vigil and Grandchildren in San Luis, Colorado. Erinea married Tomas Vigil. Her parents, Juan de Jesus Trujillo and Josefa Benigna Valdéz, were among the settlers who left Taos with Major Lafayette Head during the 1850s to settle Guadalupe along the Conejos River."
