From inventory: "José Benito Córdova and his wife Marina Rivera were both from Taos, New Mexico. They later settled in Los Cordovas, Colorado, a settlement along the Purgatory River (Rio de Las Animas Perdidas en Purgatorio), approximately two miles east of El Moro, (Las Animas County), Colorado. The architecture of their home reflects the Taos and Santa Fe Territorial styles of that era, two stories and full balconies."
