Summary:
Phil Torres, a elderly Mexican American affectionately known as "The Mayor of Auraria," stands in front of 1033 9th Street in the Auraria neighborhood, Denver, Colorado. Mr. Torres owned the home which is now part of the 9th Street Historic District on the Auraria Campus. Mr. Torres wears a plaid shirt, hat and eyeglasses. The wood frame house has a covered porch with round pillars and jigsawn and spindle decorations.
