View of a spindle and bowl made by Alberto Lobato and two hand carders used by weaver María Salomé Córdova, his mother. The spindle and bowl were used to spin the wool.

From inventory: "Owned by weaver María Salomé Córdova, the spindle, bowl and carding tools were used to prepare the wool to make blankets. The spindle was placed on the bowl as María spun the wool to form and twist the yarn. These tools were made by her son Alberto Lobato." (Courtesy of Hispanic Pioneers in Colorado and New Mexico).
