Summary:
Studio portrait of Félix Sandoval (left) and an unidentified man from Wagon Mound (Mora County), New Mexico. When Félix was twelve years old, he was kidnapped and held captive for eight months by Native American raiders in Fort Pueblo (now Pueblo), Colorado. Both men wear suits and ties. The unidentified man wears a mustache.

From inventory: "Félix Sandoval was the son of Commander José Benito Sandoval of Old Fort Pueblo which is now the city of Pueblo, Colorado. In 1854, Chief Blanca led a group of Ute and Jicarilla Indians and Félix's father Benito was killed in what is now known as the Christmas Eve Massacre. Félix was twelve years old. He and his nine year old brother were kidnapped by the Indian raiders. Félix was held for eight months before being released. He later settled in Wagon Mound, New Mexico."
