Phumlani is an orphan whom I got to know in the Kingdom of
Swaziland last summer. More than 1 in 3 adults in Swaziland has AIDS; this
greatly affects the children who are then orphaned or themselves Infected.
Phumlani is an extremely bright, talented, and inquisitive young boy. He does not
yet know that he has AIDS, although he knows that he must take medicine, and he
get very quiet and sad when he feels sick.
