This video features class presentations from the Fall 2015 University of Colorado Denver classes "Cannabis Cultures," taught by anthropology professor Mary Ortanez, and immigration politics, taught by political science professor James Walsh. The presentations and videos created by the students were videotaped at El Centro Humanitario in Denver on November 16, 2015
General Note:
Otanez and Walsh both teach university-level classes in a manner that exemplifies a shift from reliance on lectures and prescriptive teaching to student-led teaching and cooperative learning to encourage mindfulness. These presentations are part of their research study titled "Digital Storytelling and Organic Theater : Pedagogies (Theories and Practices of Education) in 21st Century Learning
