It's Hard Breathing
Up At Crested Butte
Crested Butte in Gunnison Na-
tional Forest, north of Gunnison,
lies at an altitude of perhaps 10,000
feet, with some of her new ski
slopes rising several thousands of
feet higher.
Three skiiers from Japan, in the
rush to participate in the recent
international ski tourney at the
Butte, hadn't really thought much
about what this altitude would do to
their game. Coach Kenichi Yama-
moto, Shohei Sasaki and Hideo
Kaichi liked the slopes, and less
the altitude, having experienced
breathing difficulties.
They'll try next the ski slopes
of Norway.

Right To Title
Manzanola Doug Tashiro and
other basketballers of the local

because the team is ineligible for
it.

Coach Dick Kranz pulled his team
off the floor without warning Crow-

for his team to have to forfeit
tourney title rights.
