The Auraria Institutional Repository (AIR) is a digital library of intellectual output of the Auraria Campus community, and includes creative works by faculty and students, and historical materials related to Auraria Campus and the Auraria Higher Education Center authority. Materials include open-access scholarly papers, campus publications, course directories, and a variety of other ephemera that help document the history and intellectual output of Auraria Campus and its three institutions of higher learning.
The Auraria Library established AIR to serve as a central location for the secure storage, collection, and free dissemination of campus-produced open access creative works and historical materials related to the Auraria Campus community. Open access materials collected by the Auraria Institutional Repository include:
- Journal articles
- Conference papers and proceedings
- Poster presentations
- Technical reports
- White papers
- Theses, dissertations, and capstone projects
- Data and datasets
- College publications
- Graduate and undergraduate research materials
The Auraria Library invites and encourages faculty from the University of Colorado Denver, Metropolitan State University of Denver, and Community College of Denver to submit original scholarly research to the Auraria Institutional Repository, a free, publicly-accessible platform for research materials produced by campus authors.

For all digital materials submitted to AIR, the Library offers secure storage of digital files; stable permanent URLs; advanced metadata; usage statistics (e-mailed monthly to contributors); indexing in major search engines; and an opportunity to deposit your valuable research in a branded campus repository.
