From inventory: "When Antonio Gallegos, son of Francisco Gallegos and Ursula García, was 28 years old, he told his parents about his desire to marry María Odila Lobato, the daughter of José Julián Lobato and María Sálome Córdova. As was the custom, his parents sent a letter to her parents requesting her hand in marriage. Odila was 27 years old when her parents received this proposal. (Hispanic Pioneers in Colorado and New Mexico, Colorado Society of Hispanic Genealogy, p. 51).
